Tour Summary: Most tours start with an introduction/overview of the center. Depending upon the size of the tour groups, the groups will be broken into teams of 7. Once the self-guided tour ends, a staff member will talk to the group at the bay and answer any questions. At the very end there will be some fish to feed the pelicans for a snack.

Scheduling a tour group: Call 305-852-4486, Tuesday - Saturday, and ask to speak to Avra.

Donation recommendation for a tour: $2.00 per child, $3.00 per adult.

Adult travel groups are welcome at $3.00 per adult.

Number of students: Total number of students should not be more than 40. The chaperone: student ratio is 1:7.

Pre-tour work: Students need to be divided in groups so that when the physical tour starts the students can separate into small groups immediately and follow their advisor.

Bus: Once the bus driver unloads the students, the bus can be parked at the radio station just a ¼ of a mile south on the bayside.

The best days to tour are Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 2:30 pm.
