CONTINUING STORY
Directions:
1. Have the students take out a sheet of lined paper
2. Read the beginning of this story. The student is to start writing an ending to the story.
3. In three minutes have the student pass their paper to the student behind them. Have the last person in the row bring their story to the person at the head of the row. With the unfinished story, they are to continue to develop the ending of the story. Give them three minutes before rotating them again. This rotation and writing should happen two more times.
4. At the end, have the students read their story.
WHO’S CAUGHT?
It was a perfect morning to go fishing. The sun was shinning, high up in the sky there was a light feathery blanket of cirrus clouds, and the winds were a comfortable 6 - 8 knots. Flying in perfect formation were 7 brown pelicans. Oscar, the lead pelican, saw a bright shinny fish flickering in the turquoise waters below. Without a hesitation, he pulls in his wings and aims straight for the water ready for a tiny fish snack. Just as he gets the fish in his mouth he felt a sharp tearing pain in his throat. On shore, Jack got a quick pull on his fishing poll...
